How do I get rid of warts on my scrotum?

Benjamin L asked:

I’ve had warts on the edge of my scrotum (where it meets my leg) for a while. I don’t think they are genital warts because I am a virgin and I understand genital warts is an STD. They consist of a cluster of greyish-purple clumps. I have tried wart remover which works for a week or two but then they come back. What are they and how do I get rid of them?

    Create a video blog…instantly.

see a docter, while it is an STD it can be spread through other ways.

They are warts alright. They are caused by a virus infection. You have to get them removed by chemical/medical/cryo means. They recur a few times until you get resistance for that virus.

You do not have to have had intercourse for it to be HPV (genital warts) – you can get them by other milder types of sexual contact including just skin to skin contact and fondlin or fellatio. but they are generally on the penis not scrotum but it does sound like them by your descrition. Usually warts do come back even after using wart remover. It only removes the top layer of skin (the bump) but not the root which is VERY deep. There really is no cure for HPV but a Dr would be a better way to confrim what it is and possibly remove it to the core. They sometimes come back them, and sometimes dont. It could also be pimples, or ingrown hair. A Dr could tell.

Yes, see your doctor. They can be removed quickly and easily, and painlessly too, probably in a single office visit.

    probably not warts.

maybe a rash due to dry weather or excessive moisture (total opposites but both can offer similar symptoms) either way you skin is irritated there and you must try to change your habits.

if you suspect its too dry, try using a moisturizer without fragrance. something all natural would most likely work best.

if its too moist try gold bond, its a powder that comes in a gold plastic bottle and is available in most pharamcy stores.

It is probably genital warts you need to see a doctor. It is a virus that can be transmited through oral sex.
